Description

Three versions for any context

Short, one sentence

A disgraced captain, a wanted murderer, a haunted nurse. Three outcasts shipwrecked on shores that shouldn't exist, changed by powers they don't understand.

Medium, one paragraph

Driftbane: The Long Awaited is a tactical RPG of grid combat, recruited beast-folk allies, and a creeping corruption killing two worlds at once. Three outcasts shipwrecked on shores that shouldn't exist wake with powers they don't understand and spirits in their heads who claim to know why. Recruit fantastical allies across an unmapped continent, fight unit-turn battles where positioning and terrain matter, and uncover the secrets of the Drift. Inspired by Shining Force 2, Fire Emblem, and Tactics Ogre.

Extended, for features sections

Tactical Grid Combat: Unit-turn battles on an isometric grid where the fastest fighters strike first. Terrain shapes every engagement. A flank lands harder. A counter only triggers from the front, and only for allies who've earned the skill. No permadeath. Risks stay risky instead of save-scummed.

Stone, Water, Fire: Each of the three protagonists carries a virtue tempered by their worst night. Spirits recognize that virtue and grant power that matches it: stone that won't yield, water that won't stop, fire that cauterizes. Powers grow as the bonds deepen.

Every Ally Earned: The continent is home to fantastical beast-folk such as the Vulpari fox-folk in the meadows, the Wulfen in the frozen north, and others further inland. Each has a culture, a corruption they survived, and a reason to fight beside you. You earn their loyalty through story and exploration. No lootboxes. No gacha. No microtransactions.

Tiered Endgame: When the campaign ends, the dungeons keep going. Each tier increases in difficulty with better loot, preparing you for the next tier. You earn every step.
